We believe transparency builds better relationships with our readers, customers, and collaborators. This is how we think about AI — and how it does and does not touch the work we put our names on.
Our Stance
We use AI. We’re not hiding it.
At Tinjens Publishing, we use AI assistance as part of our research, drafting, and preparation process. We believe AI represents a meaningful development in how humans create, and we engage with it seriously and honestly. We also believe you deserve to know what that means for the work you read, purchase, and support.
What AI Assists With
Research, drafts, and preparation.
We use AI assistance for gathering and synthesizing research, generating early drafts that we develop further, organizing our thinking before we write, and exploring ideas before committing to a direction. In all of these cases, a human being — one of us — reviews, edits, challenges, and takes full responsibility for what is ultimately published.
Research: AI helps us move faster and think wider. We verify and interrogate what it surfaces.
Drafting: AI may generate early drafts. What you read has been shaped, rewritten, and owned by us.
Preparation: We use AI to organize ideas, outline structures, and stress-test arguments before writing.
Our Creative and Fiction Projects
Human-authored at its core.
Our fiction and creative intellectual properties — including the Moment of Impact universe and all characters, stories, and worlds we develop — are human-authored at their core. AI may assist in research and preparation surrounding this work, but the creative vision, the narrative decisions, the characters, and the voice belong entirely to their human creators. This is non-negotiable.
Where We Draw Lines
What we will not do.
We do not publish unreviewed AI output. Full AI-generated text that has not been meaningfully reviewed, edited, and shaped by a human author will never appear under the Tinjens Publishing name.
We do not misrepresent authorship. When something is published under our byline, a human being is responsible for it. We will not use AI to fabricate quotes, manufacture sources, or substitute for original reporting and analysis.
We do not automate our editorial judgment. The perspective, the opinions, the decisions about what matters — these are ours. AI does not make those calls.
Our Paid Products
Disclosure on Gumroad research products.
All paid research products sold through our Gumroad storefront include a disclosure on the product page noting whether AI assistance was used in the research and preparation process. You will always know before you purchase.

We do not gatekeep AI. If you use AI assistance to research our work, draft responses to it, or engage with our content — that is your business. We think AI assistance in reading, research, and writing preparation is a reasonable and legitimate practice, and we will not pretend otherwise.
